Singing Dune
In the amazing national Park Altyn Emel the right Bank of the ili river, is the famous Singing dunes. Its length is two kilometers and the width is a mile and a height of one hundred and fifty meters. It is complicated of clean yellow sand, shining Golden. Bancaetruria, sharp ridge. The sand here sounds when it starts to crumble.
The sound then increases, then decreases, resembling the roar of aircraft engines. And sometimes it is similar to the sound on the river paddle steamer. In calm and stormy weather and also dunes in the winter is silent. - Departure from Almaty
At 8:00 AM, the guide will pick you up from your designated address, and you will head to the Singing Dune (305 km, approximately 4 hours). - Arrival at the Singing Dune
Upon arrival, you will enjoy an exciting tour of the sand dune (approximately 2-3 hours), where you can learn about the unique phenomenon of the dune “singing” when the wind blows. - Optional Stop for the Lunch
You may choose to stop for lunch at the AigaiKum Restaurant in the village of Bashi. - Departure and Return to Almaty
After the excursion to the Singing Dune, you will head back to the city (310 km, approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, the driver will drop you off at any location in Almaty.
