Turgen gorge
Beautiful Turgen gorge of the same river is the longest and extensive gorge of TRANS-ili Alatau. Located on the territory of Ile-Alatau national Park.
In the gorge a lot of interesting: waterfalls, trout farm, ostrich farm, historical-ethnographical Museum under the open sky, the statue of the Golden man (Altyn Adam) of Saka Kurgan, thermal springs, water springs and unique Chinturgensky mossy spruce stands, with permafrost areas. Truly the most fascinating of places of visits are falls. In this gorge a total of seven waterfalls, but popular, only three of them.
Bear waterfall
Is at a height of 1559 meters above sea level and belongs to the Turgen waterfalls. It forms a small river Turgen, breaking away from the cliff with 30 meters in height. Apart from the fact that the waterfall itself is located in a very beautiful place, a rapid and foamy stream of water literally cuts into the rock, as if trying to break through it, daversa the picturesque landscape of overhanging three sides of the rocks. Tiny splashes flying in all directions, forming a real cloud.
Kairak waterfall
Is the second of the available for tourists waterfalls Turgen gorge. It is located at a height of 2130м above sea level. Kira — in translation from Kazakh language – sharpened waterfall literally bored through the road in the gorge. It is the highest waterfall in the Turgen gorge. You can reach it much more difficult: the waterfall is located 3 hours walk from the village of Botan.The reward for such a long path would open the eyes of tourists an amazing view, pristine nature, rough rocks and the stunning beauty of the majestic and powerful Kayraksky waterfall.
Rocky falls
Is the most remote waterfall, so the waterfall is recommended to go to the people who have sufficient physical training.
Ostrich farm
You can observe ostriches, listen to the story guide, buy fresh ostrich eggs and feathers – in memory, and also inside the ostrich farm there is a cafe where you can taste dishes from ostrich meat and eggs.
Spring Kieli-Bulak
The legend says about the rejuvenating properties of water from the mine. Maybe the drinking of crystal clear, delicious, cold water from the “fountain of youth” You will not become younger face, but the soul for sure.
Trout farm
Here you can rent a rod and to catch trout in the pond. Then the catch can be attributed to it cleaned and prepared fish, BBQ.
Assy plateau
Incredibly beautiful scenery, high plateau Assy. (3000 m above sea level) the Road takes us through the 12 bridges along the amazing river. Approaching the highest point of the gorge Turgen “Nerd”, the road passing to the Observatory, which offers very beautiful landscapes.
